Homework? Blog.

Yesterday
- Survived yet another day of BodyPump!! It's starting to become more enjoyable but my legs still hate me for it.
- Moved my closet (one of the perks of having too many rooms) and finally put away 3 of the 7 laundry baskets of clothes we have lying around. I have too many clothes yet I don't like most of them anymore. Definitely need new ones.
- Made Wingers sticky fingers!! SUPER easy and wayyyyy cheaper than going to Wingers itself. AND they got a 9 out of 10 from the hubs!
Cooking is slowly starting to not be my nemesis.
- Sadly, the Jazz lost...but it was a good game.
- Repainted my nails 3 times while Dee was at the Library.
- Looked at dogs on KSL shhhhh don't tell

Today and Weekend
-  Homework and work
- Put away 4 remaining laundry baskets
- Mission Reunion
- Cuddle up and watch Conference (Saturday & Sunday)
- Go to the gym
- Do a craft while Dee is at the Priesthood session
- Finally meet Nike Baucom!!!
And also get to hang out with Melissa and Bryan of course :)
- Family dinner and hanging out

And I just have to say how proud I am of my amazing husband. He has gotten A's on the last 3 tests he has gotten back!! Love him.

A weekend ending in Jello

Weekends aren't really relaxing and fun as they once were. Friday I had work until 6, then a killer midterm at 7. Luckily we got to watch the Jazz game after that which was nice. Cuddling up with my man watching the game is the best...don't think we've missed one this season until tonight :( Dee has to work on a project at the library every night this week. Such a bummer.
Saturday is all about running errands and trying to get the stuff done that there's simply no time for during the week. BUT we did get to see HUNGER GAMES!! I thought it was so good! There are way too many critics out there, but I thought they did a great job given how many details are in the book and still keeping it PG-13. I am Team Peeta allllll the way!! Love him. Now I kind of want to re-read the books...hmmm...maybe this summer when I have a little more time.
Sundays start with a scramble to get to church on time but Sunday mornings are Dee's musical days. So as I get ready for church I get to hear him singing random songs about whatever pops into his head. He's such a dork but it's very entertaining. Then we plan our lessons in Sacrament meeting (one of the perks of teaching 4 year olds...doesn't take a lot of preparation). After church we come home, I take a nap, and then it's off to one of the parental's house for dinner and last but not least Grandma and Grandpa Evans house. That is probably my favorite part.
Next is today - Dreaded Monday.
I try to go to the gym at least twice a week because Dee goes like 4 or 5 times and I feel like a slacker. But today I decided to do something different.
BodyPump
This class killed me!! My legs were shaking and turning into jello half way through!! Thankfully, a very nice woman in her late 50's was able to help me survive. Definitely an ego booster lemme tell ya. But as if that wasn't bad enough!! This Asian guy knew I was a first timer so the entire time he would look over and start laughing at me!! Ego booster #2. And he kept calling me "new girl".
"Hey new girl, you alive?" "Hey new girl, you make funny facial expressions." Ego booster #3. Well Mr. Creepy Man, I'm sorry that when I feel like I'm going to collapse and die that I'm not sitting there smiling! I'll DEFINITELY work on that. Nope, my face shows exactly how I'm feeling. Kind of a blessing, kind of a curse.
Currently, it's been 2.5 hours and jello legs are still in effect. Can't even imagine how the next couple days are going to be. But as hard as it was, I can't wait to do it again!! Now if only I could find someone to go with me.
Next adventure to try...BodyCombat!

On the radar

Over the weekend we had an awesome date day. And after having been sick the whole long weekend, it was nice to spend time just me and my man.
Friday we went to the gym and then had a cozy night in and watched Water For Elephants. It was surprisingly good!!
Then Saturday we woke up early...way too early for Dee...and got all bundled up in our snow gear. Rented gear for Dee. And headed up to Brighton. It was super windy and snowing which was way cold but it made for awesome powder. It was so fun to finally go boarding with Dee! He hadn't been in 6 years!! But you couldn't even tell. He's a champ...why does he have to be so good at everything?
After a few hours up on the slopes we headed home to get ready for part 2 of our day. Courtside floor seats to the Utah Basketball game!! We had pretty low expectations but they actually won!! It was a close game which made it that much more fun! Plus, I loved the people watching.

Then after the game, Dee left me to go to Sean's bachelor party. Honestly I was beat and was so totally okay with curling up on the couch and watching Chopped (latest obsession).  When Dee got home we watched the Dunk Competition highlights and went to bed.

Next comes Sunday. We finally got on the radar.  For the last 4 months no one in the ward really knew who we were. This worked for us! We never had to speak or say prayers or anything! Then it happened. During sacrament meeting it was announced that we were being called to the Primary. We had to stand up and EVERY head turned around and looked at us. Immediately after that Dee got asked to say a prayer in Sacrament, we got asked if the Bishopbric could come over and meet with us, people introduced themselves, and we were asked if we want to speak in sacrament meeting. Luckily I said "no" so hopefully we can put that off for another few weeks. But after all that we got set apart as CTR 4 Primary teachers!! I am soooo excited about it! If we would have gotten the 10 or 11 year olds...oh man, I don't even know what we would have done. We have an adorable bunch of kids and I can't wait to teach them.
I am one lucky girl. I love my amazing husband and all he does for me. He is so sweet and caring. Marrying my best friend was the best choice I ever made. We have almost been married 5 whole months!! Can't believe it! Little notes like this absolutely make my day :)
